Swanging, eyes closed just swanging.
So if you've followed my blog for a while you'll be familiar with my struggle when it comes to footwear. As a 20 year old with the feet of an average primary schooler (don't quote me I made that up) finding shoes that don't light up, come with a built-in toy or velcro straps is a mission in itself, never mind finding ones I actually like! It's because of this all my shoes mean so much to me, although none are more important, more wondrous, more fulfilling, than my trainers. They are the only shoes I can wear without mounds of cotton wool and toilet roll, they are the only shoes I feel understand my struggle and give me hope for a future of a relatively okay shoe game and prosperous adult life (bargains galore in the kid's section guys!)
The search for the 8th pair started in November. I wanted another running shoe preferably with a track sole, grey colourway to take me into Spring and laces (they aren't a given for us small footed souls) and almost threw my laptop out of the window last week when I spotted my new finds on the OFFICE website. For no phrase gives me greater joy than, 'The retro trainer now comes smaller for the coolest kids in town.' I wandered into store the day after, tried them on, fell even more in love, shed a tear and left with them in hand praising Adidas for their wonderfulness. They are perfect for me and made the months of searching worthwhile!

I salute you Adidas and you OFFICE for your 10% student discount, for you have given me hope. Long gone are the feelings of disdain and annoyance for my shoe size.
For although it can be hard out here for me I'm realising that this little foot shaped cloud has a silver lining.
